The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) initially gave an R-13 rating to Temptation Island.

The producers, Regal Films and GMA Films, submitted the film again for reconsideration after doing minor changes in the movie. As a result, the movie is now rated PG-13.

According to Direk Chris Martinez, he reduced one kissing scene each from the four lead stars namely Heart Evangelista, Lovi Poe, Solenn Heussaff, and Marian Rivera.

He also shortened the fight scene that was shown in the movie.

"Hindi naman mahirap ang hiningi ng MTRCB kaya hindi naging mabigat sa loob ko," said Direk Chris several minutes before the premiere night of Temptation Island, which was held last night, July 3, at SM Megamall Cinema 9. The movie is scheduled to open in cinemas by Wednesday, July 6.

The moviehouse was jampacked with fans and members of the press who watched this contemporary remake of the 1980 film originally directed by the late Joey Gosiengfiao.

Marian's boyfriend, Dingdong Dantes, was not spotted during the premiere night but she was glad that her mother and her grandmother took the time to show their support.

When Marian saw her Darna co-star Celia Rodriguez, she screamed for joy as she hugged the veteran actress tightly.

Heart Evangelista and Aljur Abrenica were unable to attend the event but cast members Rufa Mae Quinto, Lovi Poe, Solenn Heussaff, Tom Rodriguez, Mikael Daez, and John "Sweet" Lapus were all there for the red-carpet event.

Jake Cuenca was present that night to witness the trailer of My Neighbor's Wife, which he will topbill along with Dennis Trillo, Carla Abellana, and Lovi Poe. Regal's upcoming movie will reportedly be screened by September this year.

Other celebrities spotted that night were Fabio Ide, Hideo Muroaka, Geoff Taylor, Stef Prescott, and Roxanne Barcelo.

Erwan Heussaff, the brother of Solenn and boyfriend of Anne Curtis, also came to show his support. He was with their French father.

Senators Richard Gordon, Antonio Trillanes, Col. Ariel Querubin, and TV host Korina Sanchez were also there as well as directors Joel Lamangan and Ricky Davao.

When asked how she felt about the success of the premiere night, Marian Rivera told PEP.ph, "Nakaka-proud, ang galing nilang lahat!

"Tamang-tama ang lahat ng cast sa role na ginampanan nila. Lahat ng kinalabasan dito, masaya ako at proud ako."

This movie marks the film debut of model-turned-actor Mikael Daez.

He said, "Medyo nahiya ako to see myself onscreen pero nag-enjoy ako sa movie. I think Direk [Chris] really did a good job.

"Happy lang ako na I got to work on my first movie, so kinakabahan."
